What the City Needs to Provide, Set Up, and Test

City of Miramar AI Boot Camp · July 27–31, 2026 · 15 students, 2 teachers

Everything below must be in place AND tested by teacher training, Wednesday July 22. The July 14 logistics call with IT, Facilities, and Finance is where we confirm it.

1 Computers

17 machines total. Each student and teacher works in the browser. Most tools run in the browser. Some may require a desktop app, to be confirmed with IT.

Item Qty / detail Needed by Owner Status
Student computers 15 (one per student). Laptop or desktop, both fine. Jul 22 City
Teacher computers 2 (one per teacher). Same specs as student machines. Jul 22 City
Current web browser Chrome, updated to current version, on every machine. Jul 22 City IT
Runs web apps in-browser Each machine loads ChatGPT, Suno, Claude, and the chosen video tool in the browser. Jul 22 City IT
Working speakers / audio output Working sound on every machine (students play and review music). Jul 22 City IT
Working microphone One working mic per machine. Students record and capture audio for their projects. Jul 22 City IT
Headphones 1 pair per student (15). Ideal for the music work, so 15 kids can listen at once. Jul 22 City

2 Audio / Visual (room)

The room needs to project and play sound for the whole group. This drives demos, group review, and the Friday showcase.

Item Qty / detail Needed by Owner Status
Projector or large screen 1. Must have an HDMI input for a teacher laptop. Jul 22 City
HDMI cable 1 (plus an adapter if the screen needs one). Reaches the teacher station. Jul 22 City
Room speakers 1 set, loud enough to fill the room. Plays songs and videos for the group. Jul 22 City

3 Internet

Every activity runs online. The network carries 17 devices at once, all streaming AI web apps and moving media.

Item Qty / detail Needed by Owner Status
Stable broadband Comfortably supports ~17 devices at once. Streaming AI apps, plus uploading and downloading audio, images, and video. Jul 22 City IT
Network / login for camp devices Wi-Fi name and password (or wired access) provided for all program machines. Jul 22 City IT
Bandwidth headroom Enough capacity so media uploads and downloads do not stall mid-class. Jul 22 City IT

4 IT Permissions & Support

This is the make-or-break section. The computers can be perfect, but if the network blocks these sites or sign-ins, the camp cannot run. Please confirm each item with IT on the July 14 call.

⚠️ Make-or-break: get every item below confirmed by IT

If any one of these is blocked, that activity stops for the whole class.

  • Allow these domains through the web filter on the camp devices. All of them, plus common media and CDN hosts:
    openai.com chatgpt.com suno.com higgsfield.ai claude.ai anthropic.com google.com googleusercontent.com gstatic.com cloudfront.net amazonaws.com cdn.suno.ai oaiusercontent.com
  • Allow sign-ins to program-provided accounts in the browser. No policy that blocks logging into ChatGPT, Suno, Claude, or the chosen video tool.
  • Allow file uploads and downloads (images, audio, video) and clipboard use (copy and paste) in the browser.
  • No admin lockdown that blocks the browser or these sites. Browsers updated to their current version.
  • Some tools may require a desktop app install. Please allow installs, or coordinate an approved alternative with MetAiBlock before July 22. If the city images or locks these machines, coordinate before July 22.
  • IT point of contact available live during teacher training (July 22 to 24) and on Day 1 (July 27), to fix any access issue on the spot.
  • Content filtering aligned to ages 13 and up and school-appropriate. Open enough for the camp tools, safe for teens.

5 When Things Must Be Available

Three dates drive everything. Each requirement above ties back to these.

TUE · JUL 14
Logistics call
IT, Facilities, and Finance. We confirm every item on this list here.
WED · JUL 22
Ready + tested
All equipment and IT access in place. MetAiBlock tests the full setup during teacher training (Jul 22 to 24).
MON · JUL 27
Camp starts
Day 1, 9:00am. IT contact on call for live access fixes.
The chain: Confirm on July 14 → everything ready and tested by teacher training July 22 → camp opens July 27. If access is not ready and tested by July 22, delivery is at risk. That is why we confirm early on the 14th and test during training, not on Day 1.

6 Who to Confirm With

City IT + Facilities, on the July 14 logistics call. That call is where we walk this list item by item and get each one confirmed.

MetAiBlock will test the full setup during teacher training (July 22 to 24), so any gap is caught before Day 1, not during it.

Please have an IT decision-maker on the July 14 call who can approve the domain allow-list, the sign-in policy, and the on-site support window.
